Rainbow Books Reviews
"...This is a great Christmas story, from the slow build of a romantic relationship that is long overdue, through some very angsty territory, all the way to lives being threatened, and a perfectly adorable ending. And even though Christmas isn’t really at the heart of the story, Chris and Daniel's love is the focus, it is a perfect example of the Christmas spirit. Of course, the setting of New York in December and January may have something to do with it. Two of my favorite scenes ere the lighting of the tree at Rockefeller center and the two guys going ice skating. The latter was hilarious! ..."

"...Ms Scott managed to pack in enough action and spice to keep me turning pages and finding her trademark HEA. If you’re looking at the days ticking by and just don’t feel the spirit, pick up this wonderful, heart warming romance and you’ll be looking forward to the holiday again..."

"...Go ahead and judge this book by its cover because NEW YORK CHRISTMAS is a great holiday story and that’s a beautiful cover. However, as usual, RJ Scott puts enough angst into the plot that it isn’t all feel-good Merry Christmas. Someone is accused of something he didn’t do. Someone else saves the day. Someone is shot and might die. Two someones have a hard time overcoming past history and making a new start. Together. ... NEW YORK CHRISTMAS is a great story to get you into the spirit of the season, or just a nice story to read on a cold night. Enjoy. ..."

Scattered Thoughts and Rogue Words
RJ Scott broke out the carols, the mistletoe, and the wassail because this story is permeated with the glow and good tidings of a wonderful Christmas tale. I have certain expectations of a holiday story. It must make me feel good, leave me smiling in joy for the characters who have found love in each other and the season. I love to have some snow (although not necessary), some good deeds, and a couple or couples well on their way to happily ever after. With New York Christmas I get all that and more.
On Top Down Under
The last time Christian (Chris) Matthews saw Daniel Bailey, Chris was a senior in college and Daniel was a freshman. Chris had been the TA assigned to help Daniel with his English class. Daniel was the typical party boy. A self-proclaimed slut who hooked up with pretty much anyone... male or female.... everyone, that is, except Chris. Daniel was a trust fund baby and Chris knew the boy was out of his league on so many levels. Chris was the typical smart nerd who wore glasses and was anything but the school slut. He definitely did not come from a wealthy family. After a drunken kiss one night, Daniel avoided Chris completely and there was no more contact with the exception of a rushed hug by Daniel when Chris graduated. Years pass and they do not see each other again. Chris never forgot about Daniel... or the kiss
